The design process behind our range of fine leather goods involved a tireless search for purity and perfection, resulting in ultra-stylish, eminently useful staples. Believing every good bag begins with the leather, we sourced a rare French calf from one of the world’s most celebrated and oldest tanneries with roots that date back to the 16th century. The leather is old school French bridle tannage – full grain, vegetable tanned and packed with natural wax – an archival leather that was originally designed to withstand rain, horse sweat and years of wear. Like our wood furniture, the leather will patina with time and look more beautiful with age.

From conception, the bags were designed and constructed with nothing extraneous. All leather goods feature an unlined "nude" construction and an absolute minimum of seams – to reduce weight and to showcase the quality of the leather. Internally, stitches and seams are hand tied and taped, and edges are scored and hand-burnished using a vintage dry harness technique. Like a double-face cashmere coat, the inside of the bag is as beautiful as the outside.
